FIT & TONED PERSONAL TRAINING
Hi, I'm Rick James the owner of Fit & Toned Personal Training.
There are three things I keep hearing from people about exercising, "I don't have time", "I don't know what to do", "I can't afford it"….does this sound like one of your excuses? Because ladies and gentleman, that's what they are, just excuses.
I have heard from a lot of my friends and clients that say to me they become motivated after seeing something on TV about Australia's growing problem with diabetes type 2 or just the fact that we are the second most "obese" nation only behind the United States.
I became a Personal Trainer not only to help keep myself in shape ( I did the course at age 38) but also to help others do the same thing. It's not easy to get into shape if you haven't done any type of exercise for awhile, I'm not here to lie to you and fill you with ideas of being an athlete with a super hot body in just a few weeks with minimal work, they are fairytales and marketing propaganda. I will say this however, once you get to a level of fitness that you want to be at, or maybe it's a weight goal you have, it's not as hard work to maintain it. That right there is the key, a lot of hard work at the start to get to your goals, a lot of sacrifices, a whole lifestyle change for some, but the end result will be a fairly easy maintenance program and better eating habits to keep you there and hopefully never go back.
I was trained at the Australian Institute of Fitness in Richmond, Victoria and live in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I have Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness, a Master Trainer Certificate. I am a Strength and Conditioning Coach, and I have also done workshops in Nutrition and meal timing. I am registered with Fitness Australia, the Australian Sports Commission and also the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association. I was a member of the Australian Army and a part of the ODF (Operational Deployment Force) in Townsville, North Queensland.
I want to share all the experience and information I have gained over the past few years to hopefully get you motivated and also to show you that you can do it.
