6 Vital Questions to ask ANY Pilates Provider before undertaking classes or memberships
PRINT THIS PAGE ![]() Are the instructors Certified with the Australian .Pilates Method Association ie APMA or "The Pilates Alliance".
![]() Are the instructor's qualifications approved of by Allied Health Professionals such as physiotherapists or Chiropractors?
![]() Have instructors done at least 625 hours of theory and practice before teaching you as a client? Are you prepared to risk your spine including your neck to potential injury by using poorly trained instructors?
![]() How are you guided through your Pilates experience: Does the studio insist that you do solid foundation (Pre-Pilates work)before you do machine classes ie. core stability, correct spinal movement, neck and shoulder placement, alert torso breathing?
![]() Are you put into large groups of people at varying levels of progress which reduces the care and attention that you pay for and should insist on when doing quality Pilates?
![]() Are the class numbers controlled? Do you have to queue for classes? Is your place reserved and guaranteed when you arrive at the studio. Suggested number of people in a semi-private session up to five. Suggested number of people in any group class up to ten.
